Although Lovecraft’s readership was limited during his life, his reputation has grown over the decades. This story, like H. Part of it came merely from knowing of the existence of such nameless monsters, while another part arose from apprehension of the reanomator harm they might under certain circumstances do him.

On First off, I have to confess that I’m a huge fan of the Stuart Gordon-directed movie adaptation.
This leads West on a quest for fresher specimens and ultimately down the road to the edge of madness. It had lost an arm—if it had been a perfect body we might have succeeded better.
