And so at the end of the day, I have to admit that I was still, for the most part, disappointed that I did not enjoy this half as much on reading it a second time.

The story centers on Detective Kinderman, a real mensch, he reads books like Waiting for Godot, he questions the nature of God and why evil exists he loves old movies. Blatty just lacks the education to explain it. Gone are some sub-plots and even people from the original film and this version has definitely been de-Hollywootized and instead been Twin Peaksed From all the characters Kinderman is my favourite because of the way he perceives petrr and describes logic.

Suddenly entrenched in a bizarre series of truly nauseating deaths, he finds that the blueprints are linked to the Zodiac killer who was executed years ago.

Is the murderer the elderly woman who witnessed the crime? The reason for these murders is because the long dead killer, the Gemini killer, has daddy issues and wants revenge and the evil force has scores to settle.

The Heretica theatrical sequel with which Blatty had no involvement who also panned the film as well. Blatty has written this sequel with admirable imagination and restrain, being sure to make it unique and not feel like a cynical cash-in and means of reminding people of his original classic.

Ratings and Reviews 2 13 star ratings 2 reviews. This is concentrated at the start though, and can be easily avoided unless it’s your thing. First of all, William Peter Blatty is now one of my favourite authors.

Ultimately, LEGION is a messy novel with a few good scenes and a couple of good chills, but not a novel I would recommend to anyone but Blatty completists or fans of Lt.

Well, I just wish I had known this was the ride I was in for before I read. Edit Cast Credited cast: This case begins to take some strange twists and turns and it falls on Lieutenant Kinderman to solve the case.
